Install KadrClip in under a minute
KadrClip isn't listed on the Chrome Web Store yet, so you install it directly from this page instead. It's the exact same extension, just without the Store's install button — everything below takes about 60 seconds.
Works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers.
Download the ZIP
Click the download button above to save kadrclip-recorder.zip to your computer.
Unzip it somewhere permanent
Extract the ZIP to a folder you'll keep around — for example Documents\KadrClip. Chrome loads the extension directly from this folder, so don't delete it later or the extension will disappear.
Open Chrome's extensions page
Type chrome://extensions into your address bar and press Enter.
Turn on Developer mode
Flip the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner of the page. This is a normal Chrome setting for installing extensions outside the Web Store — it doesn't change anything else about your browser.
Click "Load unpacked"
Three new buttons appear once Developer mode is on. Click Load unpacked.
Select the unzipped folder
Pick the folder from step 2 — the one that directly contains manifest.json. KadrClip Recorder now appears in your extensions list.
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon next to Chrome's address bar and pin KadrClip Recorder so it's always one click away.
Done. Open a video on any supported site and the Record button appears automatically.
A few things you might wonder about
No. Chrome shows this reminder for any extension installed outside the Web Store, regardless of what it does. You can dismiss it — it doesn't affect how KadrClip works.
Download the new ZIP from this page, extract it over the same folder (replacing the old files), then go to chrome://extensions and click the reload icon on KadrClip's card. Your license and settings stay intact.
It's the same code, just distributed directly instead of through Google's store. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what the extension does and doesn't collect.
